Representatives from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and from the Swedish and Indian Environment Ministries visited eRoadArlanda yesterday morning.

The project had the pleasure of welcoming India’s Transport Minister in June last year, and now it was the turn of the Environment Ministry to have a presentation of the project, a trip in the electric truck and an inspection of the test track.

“The whole purpose of the electrified road project is to develop a cost-effective solution for reducing carbon emissions from road transport, so we welcome this interest from decision-makers on the environmental front. After all, decision-makers in infrastructure, energy and the environment own this issue jointly,” states Hans Säll, chairman of the eRoadArlanda consortium.

Representatives from India’s Environment Ministry take a selfie with the project management and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency out on the test track.
