eRoadArlanda in Almedalen
Don’t miss the seminar on “Electrified roads – the future of sustainable transport” on Monday, July 4, from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at NCC’s Dome of Visions in Visby Harbor.
Sweden is one of the most advanced countries in the development of electrified roads. By using smart infrastructure that combines electrified roads and recharging stations, Sweden can take a leading position globally and guide the way toward fossil-free transportation infrastructure. The future is already here – but dare we invest in it?

The technology required for building electrified roads is essentially already available and continues to be refined at a feverish pace. By using smart infrastructure that combines electrified roads and recharging stations, Sweden can take a leading position globally and guide the way toward fossil-free transportation infrastructure that supports passenger cars as well as buses and trucks. The future is already here – if we choose and dare to invest in it. The seminar will include a presentation of eRoadArlanda’s work on an electrified road between Rosersberg and Arlanda, one of two projects in the pre-commercial procurement of innovation to develop future electrified roads. The seminar will also address the questions: Why invest in electrified roads and what obstacles do we expect to encounter on the road to our achieving our goal?

Participants:
Hans Säll, Head of Business Development, NCC Infrastructure
Magnus Henke, The Swedish Energy Agency
Ibrahim Khalifa, Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board, Sigtuna Municipality
Sofia Lundberg, VTI
Johan Tollin, Vattenfall
